John D. Kristoff - Vice President and Chief Communications Officer

John D. Kristoff was appointed vice president and chief communications officer for Diebold, Incorporated in August 2005.  He is responsible for communicating Diebold’s business strategies and financial performance to the investment community, as well as serving as the primary contact for shareholders and analysts.  In addition, he oversees the company’s advertising, public relations, internal communications and corporate marketing and brand functions.  Kristoff also has direct responsibility for the strategic design group, including all product design; and the global documentation and language translation organization.

Prior to his current position, Kristoff was vice president of investor relations.  He joined Diebold in 1989 to assist in the company’s public relations efforts and has served in a variety of management positions within the communications and investor relations areas.  Prior to joining Diebold, Kristoff served in the corporate communications division of B.F. Goodrich, Akron, Ohio.

Kristoff is a native of North Canton, Ohio.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and a master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.  Kristoff serves on the board of directors of Arts in Stark, a not-for-profit organization supporting the Arts in Stark County, Ohio, and also serves on the Advisory Board of the Dauch School of Business and Economics at Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio.  He is also an active member of the National Investor Relations Institute.
